Volkswagen Amarok V6 out powers X-Class

In an age-old German car manufacturer power struggle, the popular Volkswagon was always on top of the pack with their Amarok V6 dual cab model. That was, until, Mercedes trumped them with their new X-Class range, which is powered by a 190kW/550Nm 3.5-litre turbo-diesel V6. In retaliation and to keep their 'most powerful dual cab' title, Volkwagon have hit back and introduced an upgraded Amarok model with a new 3.0-litre unit that equals the Mercedes Benz’s 190kWs, while topping it with an extra 30 Newtons.

The TDI 580 will initially be released as a range-topping Ultimate spec, which should come with a price tag of $70,000-plus, which should be still around $10,000 cheaper than the X350d when it arrives here.

Tony White Group has a huge range of dealership across the eastern Australian states. If you would like any more information on the this model or others, complete our online enquiry form or locate a Tony White Dealership close to you.
