NEWS: NEXT-GEN TOYOTA HIACE IS ON THE WAY
The latest look of the new Toyota has us excited with advanced safety and loads of new features …
TOYOTA HAS CONFIRMED THAT THE TOYOTA HIACE IS GETTING AN UPGRADE!
Toyota enthusiasts can get excited as the company announced in mid-February that the HiAce Van and bus range is receiving a complete overhaul, fitted with advanced new safety feature, powerful engines, and enhanced specs.
It has been 15 years since the HiAce sported its first complete overhaul, so we’re excited for the latest upgrade to hit Australian shores hallway through this year.
There will be four variants available on the Australian market including:
- Two-seater long wheelbase
- Two-seater super-long wheelbase
- Five-seater long wheelbase crew vans
- Twelve-seater super-long wheelbase commuter bus
The next-gen HiAce range will also include a petrol or diesel engine option, both with a six-speed manual or auto transmission. Performance wise, the upgraded V6 engine in the new model will replace the current four-cylinder petrol engine. So, drivers can expect to have a significantly improved performance experience that the previous outdated models currently didn’t have.
Toyota Australia vice president sales and marketing Sean Hanley said, “All-new HiAce is the total solution for transporting cargo, tourists, workers and families.”
“Beyond expanding the vehicle’s core mission as capable, durable and reliable transport, it has now stepped up to deliver the comfort and safety that today’s motorists demand private use,” he said.
“Importantly, we anticipate even better whole-of-life costs with excellent reliability and resale value along with minimal downtime and affordable maintenance. The semi-bonnet design makes it significantly easier and quicker to replace parts such as the oil and air filters, battery, and coolant,” he said.
“In addition to being highly capable right off the showroom floor, all-new HiAce has been designed to offer immense flexibility through conversions and customisation to meet varied business and personal needs,” he said.
Shifting towards the advanced safety feature, Toyota stated that the all-new HiAce achieves a 5-star rating due to its rigid design and updated technology including:
- Pre-collision systems
- Emergency braking systems
- Reverse camera
- Up to nine airbags
- Digital rear-view mirror
