Australia to roll out first digital driver’s license

As of next month, South Australia is set to become the nation’s first state to offer digital driver’s license. The digital license will be available via the mySA GOV app and will be compatible with both android and iOS devices. This introduction comes after a success trial of digital boat, vehicle registrations, proof of age cards and several other certifications.

NSW is also planning their own state-wide digital license rollout in 2019, and if successful it’s likely the rest of Australia will follow suit.
